(More customer reviews)I bought a 100-watt amp prior to this one for a small music room. That amp started distorting at normal volume settings. I returned it and bought this one. The 30-watt amp sounds just as loud (to me) and has no distortion at the same volume. For family sing-alongs, I really needed extra volume for the vocals, so I use the two 1/4" inputs for microphones, and the "line in" for a separate mixer that manages my keyboard and an electric acoustic guitar. I use the 1/4" headphone jack on my mixer. It has its own volume control, so I can control the mixer volume separate from the amp volume (note that the "line in" jack on the amp does not have its own volume control, since it's really meant for chaining another amp or sound effects device). I use the "line out" jack on the amp to run all of the combined sounds into a digital recorder. Everything works great, sounds great, and I could not be happier with this arrangement.
