(More customer reviews)My main installation for this PUP is in an el cheapo Epi 12 string. Basically, the guitar is transformed from a mildly thin sounding laminated acoustic into a full sound spectrum playing machine. It allowed my $250 Epipohone to compete with my 6 timmes as expensive Taylor 12 with the Expression system. (Note: It was good enough that I sold the Taylor and quit worring about my guitar getting damaged when playing live.) Tone control (and volume) is left to your fingers and amplifier which is as it should be. The "single coil hum" is negligible. I've used it live thru a Fishman Performer and a Roland keyboard amp. I also have teh humbucker version (installed in my Cort (Gibson Dove/Hummingbird knock-off) and the extra $$$ are not justified IMHO. (Which is never,humble and always an opinion, but I digress.) Buy it; you will not be disappointed.... I'm getting another one; much cheaper tha getting a new higher-priced guitar.
