I own 2 of these amps in a DJ rig. One runs a pair of 300W @ 4ohm mains and the other is bridged to run a single 8ohm 300W 18" sub. Now it's not going to tear your face off, but it will get loud enough for crowds of a couple hundred. I've even added another pair of 12" speakers in parallel with the mains (6ohm total load) to get a wider sound dispersion in larger or outdoor venues. I've never had a problem with overheating as each unit uses two fans and I run them at about 80% gain. That's just enough to get me a little more headroom on the mixer before I get excessive clipping. I'm very satisfied with these amps especially for the price. For the size of my gigs and current budget, these could not have worked out better. They're even cheap enough that you could keep one on hand as a spare, but I've found them to be reliable.
