(More customer reviews)I bought this stand to carry a pair of Yamaha KX61 MIDI controller keyboards. It was the only dual-keyboard stand at my retailer, which is the reason I chose it. The price was reasonable.
However, the PL402 did not meet my needs. I needed my two keyboards to be as close to each other as possible, and still parallel, like in a harpsichord or organ stack. This configuration cannot be achieved with this stand. If the keyboards are parallel, they end up being about 10" apart from each other, which is huge ! When one is playing with one hand on one keyboard, and at the same time the other hand on the other keyboard, as one needs to for example when playing organ pieces, 10" apart is simply way too much, and will strain your arms. The keyboards can be made slightly closer, but only if the top keyboard is set at an angle to the bottom one. But this is only really suitable if you are playing when standing, not sitting, and only at certain heights.
The build quality is not good. Even using the adjustments that are present, sometimes the left side and the right side were not even, resulting in a top keyboard tilted left to right. This was a manufacturing defect.
I ended up purchasing a column stand and returning this one to the store.
