(More customer reviews)I bought this keyboard to learn how to play. As a beginner i didn't want, or need, a full sized keyboard. Along with this it works through usb and provides power through usb (so no annoying adapters). It is also one of the cheapest pressure sensitive keyboards i could find.
I could not find any reviews for this keyboard before i bought it, but i did find other keyboards by the same company, and they stated they were "Vista Ready." So i figured this keyboard was no different. However, this was an incorrect assumption. I have Windows Vista 64 Bit, which can be scarce on drivers, however i figured something as simple as a midi controller would/should be supported... but this too was an incorrect assumption. When i would plug in the device it would install, but the install would fail, digging further it seems to be able to install the "composite device" portion fine, but fails installing the actual midi driver for the controller.
Basically i went through a ton of drivers and driver packages and got none to work. I then tried running the keyboard through a virtual machine running on my computer, but running windows xp 32 bit. However, this too did not work due to the virtual machine only sharing access to a device, not working independently with it (hence a device still needs to work on the host machine for it to work within the virtual machine).
As a last ditch effort i simply setup a dual-boot of vista 64 bit and windows xp 32 bit, and it works! But it is a pain to have to reboot every time i want to use the keyboard.
Bottom line, it is a great buy, but hardware is useless without any drivers to run it. So unless you have windows xp, i'd pass on this, unless you're ready to create a workaround.
